Which load bank you need
There are three types of load bank available to have made. Tell us what you're testing and we'll specify the right one — or a combination of them.
Resistive
The straightforward way to prove real load, in kW — the kind of load a building or site actually draws.
Capacitive
Rated in kilo-volt-ampere reactive (kVAr). Normally used in conjunction with a resistive unit to increase the power factor (PF) to unity.
Resistive & inductive
A combined unit where the inductive and resistive elements can be switched individually, allowing tests to load 100% of the kVA rating. Capacitive elements can be included too if required.
Multiple load banks can be paralleled together to test larger capacity generator systems, so a site bigger than any single unit is still covered.
